Welcoming baby Oliver with a lovely Fresh 48 photography session in The Woodlands, Texas
Hooray for Oliver, an adorable 8 lb, 2 oz, 21 in bundle of love! I’ve met a couple little girls recently (here’s Evelyn and Aurora!) for Fresh 48 photos, so it was nice to pack newborn wraps for a little boy for a change!
This little guy made a surprise arrival one day after his due date. Mama’s labor broke and they were off to Memorial Hermann hospital, where he was born at 7:50 am. He’s the first baby for parents Amya and Collin. They are head over heels in love with him!
Just look at that adorable head of brown hair and those perfect lips! The only time he made a peep is when we took him out of the hospital blanket and swaddled him in that soft green wrap. Once he was warm and comfy again, Oliver settled down and slept so peacefully.
It’s the little details that make Fresh 48 newborn sessions timeless and beautiful for years to come. Notice how Amya and Collin are wearing earth-toned solid colors that compliment baby. There aren’t any busy patterns or super bright colors fighting for your attention. When you look at their photos, baby Oliver is the star of the show. That’s how it should be!
Fresh 48 sessions are such a beautiful way to celebrate when you have a baby. There is so much joy and love when a baby is born. It’s amazing how that soft smile is automatic for both moms and dads when they look at their babies.
These sessions are a great option for parents who don’t want a birth photographer, but still want to capture exactly what life is like right after baby joins your family. There are so many unforgettable moments – first breath, first cry, first swaddle, first bath, first snuggle. It’s also wonderful to document when your newborn meets older siblings, grandparents or aunts and uncles.
What priceless memories for Amya and Collin to share with family and friends now, and in the years to come! When Oliver is holding his own first child many years down the road, Amya can pull out these photos and show her son what life looked like when he was born. I almost think you can’t appreciate the sweetness of that until your children are a little older. My oldest is only 3.5, and yet when I look back at her Fresh 48 photos, I remember everything about those first moments we shared together. I’m so glad my girls will have photos of when they changed our family forever.
