4/27/20 UPATE: Biz restrictions are lifted! I’m scheduling sessions now! Learn more about maternity sessions here and in-home newborn sessions here.
Despite stay-at-home orders and social distance guidelines, life goes on. This is a challenging, uncertain time for everyone, but one thing stays the same: babies are born and families grow.
Maybe you’re expecting in 2020 and so excited to celebrate pregnancy with a beautiful maternity session.
Or, perhaps you’ve recently had a sweet baby and you’re dying to send photos to loved ones so they can share in your joy.
There is no reason to put those dreams of beautiful photos and sweet memories on hold! You deserve to celebrate the beauty of motherhood with gorgeous maternity and newborn photography.
Here are commonly asked questions and answers about scheduling during COVID-19:
Q: Are you taking maternity & newborn clients right now?
A: YES! I am working with clients right now to plan sessions. I have a growing list of mamas whose sessions are already fully planned. All we have to do is set a session date!
Here’s what we can do now: I will send you a maternity or in-home newborn session questionnaire so that you can tell me exactly what you have in mind for the perfect photo session. We’ll discuss locations, wardrobe, props and any questions you have. I will prepare your contract and invoice and have it ready to go for when biz restrictions end. Once I can officially put you on my calendar, we’ll find a date that works for you!!
Q: Who should consider scheduling sessions right now, given the uncertainty of when business restrictions might be lifted?
A: For maternity sessions, I’d suggest mamas who are ~32 weeks pregnant or earlier in their pregnancies work with me now to plan their sessions. This gives us some date flexibility once business restrictions end. Most people expect Texas to begin opening up in the coming days.
For in-home newborn photography, I’m happy to work with mamas at any point in pregnancy, or those who delivered within the last month. We can capture absolutely beautiful moments of you and your baby, even if they are outside the typical timeframe for newborn photos.
Whether you’re expecting or already had your newborn, let’s start planning your session now! My calendar is filling up quickly and I’d love to get you on the schedule before it’s full.
Q: How does payment work during this time?
A: I will send out contracts and invoices when business restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, I’m setting all the session details with clients!
Currently, I am working with clients via email to make decisions on location and wardrobe. You’re not under contract or responsible for payment until we’re able to set a definite date for your maternity and in-home newborn photos. I offer payment plans for session options priced at $500 and up.
Q: Can you maintain social distancing during a session?
A: Yes, we can absolutely follow these guidelines to help protect the health of you and your family! I have lenses that will allow us to work a safe distance apart, while guaranteeing gorgeous photos you’ll love. I’ll come prepared with a mask and gloves!
Q: Are there any sessions you’re not offering due to COVID-19?
A: For now, hospital and birth center regulations will not allow me to photograph Fresh 48 sessions. This is for the health and safety of you and your newborn. If you have your heart set on these special photos, we can make plans for a “Fresh baby” session as soon as you’re home, assuming state business restrictions are lifted for photographers.
Q: How can I take sweet photos of my newborn right now, before the biz restrictions end?
A: I’ve got you covered! Here’s my FREE guide to taking precious photos of your newborn, with whatever camera you have. You can even use your phone! This guide includes simple instruction and example photos to help you get beautiful photos yourself, without any stress.
I’d love to spoil you with a session too! Grab the guide now and then email me so we can start planning a gorgeous in-home session!
