An elite group of photographers dedicated to celebrating motherhood with mamas like you
Even though saying this borders on cheesy, I honestly feel like photographing beautiful mamas and tiny babies is a dream come true for me.
Motherhood is a powerful force for most women, and particularly for the mamas I have photographed. It changes everything about you – your perspective, life goals, what you love, how you spend your free time… and so much more.
I learned about The Motherhood Society last year as I was exploring motherhood-centered publications to send photos for publication. Basically, this amazing group is comprised of members who serve women and their families during and after pregnancy, and into life with a newborn. Not only does it include photographers, but also doulas and midwives.
Members submit an application and are carefully vetted before receiving an endorsement from The Motherhood Society. It’s a wonderful resource for mamas and mamas-to-be who are seeking trusted professionals to celebrate motherhood with them.

There are currently only two other photographers who belong to The Motherhood Society from Texas, so I was really nervous to even submit an application. Both of the other Texas photographers are amazingly talented!
I sent in my application last October not really expecting to move to the next round. I was excited and shocked when an email popped up in my inbox in early January to set up a phone interview with the editor and creator of The Motherhood Society, Faythe.
By the end of my interview, I had fallen completely in love with The Motherhood Society after learning more about them and the women behind it. Their passion and devotion to celebrating every aspect of being a mom was so beautiful. I loved when Faythe talked about shining a light on the tougher parts of being a mom – dealing with miscarriage and stillbirth, caring for children with special needs and facing mental health challenges during and after pregnancy.
It was absolutely an honor as a mother and a photographer to accept the invitation to join this amazing group of women! I can hardly believe how fortunate I am to have my work showcased alongside the incredible photographers who belong to The Motherhood Society. You can take a peek at my profile below!
