I met Ali and Nathan back in January for a fun maternity session in The Woodlands. A few months later, little Carter has joined their family! Their Lifestyle Newborn Photography session was a wonderful celebration of this adorable family of four.

My husband and I have a house full of pink, so it was wonderful to snuggle with two of the sweetest little boys I have ever met! Big brother Wilson even shared his treasured stuffed panda bear with me, and I so wanted to pack him in my camera bag and bring him home! <3
Life with a newborn can be all kinds of things. It can be quiet, it can be loud. Chaotic, or calm. Or a mix of everything, all within an hour. That’s why I schedule just one newborn session per day – there is no rush, no urgency to wrap up with one family in time to meet the next one. I focus on you as long as I need to, so that we definitely get those precious photos you’ll treasure for years.
When I arrive for a lifestyle session, I ask for a tour of your home so we can find the rooms with the best lighting. For Carter’s session, the boys rooms had incredible morning sunlight coming in through the windows, so we spent a lot of time in their rooms. This works so well when you have toddlers!
In fact, Nathan and big brother took a break for a bit to let him play so that Ali and I could focus on baby Carter. Our session stayed relaxed and easy for everyone. While she nursed in big brother’s room, I snuck in the nursery to get some detail shots of the crib, the changing table and the sweet decorations they selected for Carter.

Oh, sweet Carter, you are so loved and adored!
If you’ve got a baby on the way, let’s meet to discuss your lifestyle newborn session! They’re only tiny newborns for an instant – let’s make some memories together that you’ll look back on for years to come!
[…] I introduced you to Carter and his family a few weeks ago. (BONUS: see this couple’s sweet maternity session!) There was so much that I loved about this lifestyle newborn session with his family that I couldn’t cram it all into one blog post! One shot stands out to me – the boys laying next to each other, with two-week-old Carter “whispering” to his big brother. Can’t you just imagine years of shared adventures between these little boys?
