So far 2017 is the year of Team Green couples – Victoria and George are waiting to be surprised with a boy or a girl, just like another couple I met in January.
This will be their first child, which makes the surprise even sweeter! When I think back to the anticipation and excitement of my first pregnancy, I simply cannot imagine not knowing it was a girl! My husband and I were Team Green for #3, but waiting till baby’s birth day to learn the gender with #1 takes a tremendous amount of dedication! Victoria and George are in for one of life’s best surprises, that’s for sure.
George and Victoria met in high school, but they didn’t start dating till afterward. After being married for a bit, they’ve decided it’s time for baby Dakota – a perfect name for a boy or a girl. That’s some great planning, if you ask me.
Every client who books with me receives a personalized Style Guide with details about what to wear, hairstyle suggestions, accessorizing tips and a session planning checklist. It’s pretty much a how-to guide for an amazing photo session.
One piece of advice I give is for dad to compliment whatever mom wears, and George did this perfectly. Look how the blue in his shirt perfectly matches the same shade of blue in her dress. It’s these little details that make photos pop and create visual interest. She’s gorgeous in that maxi dress by herself, and then the two of them just go together.

There is so much versatility in couples maternity shoots. I love spending time showering moms-to-be with attention for some solo shots, and then bringing in the dad-to-be for some intimate moments. You can just see how in love they are in these photos! Soon baby Dakota will join them, and their little family of two will become a party of three.
Let’s meet to discuss your maternity session! Photos look best 28-34 weeks pregnant, but we can always discuss a session if you’re not quite 28 weeks or just past 34!
