Jamie & Kyle celebrate Millie with a gorgeous maternity photography session in The Woodlands
Jamie and Kyle are over the moon to be expecting a sweet baby girl this summer. Sweet Millie is scheduled to arrive in July on her parent’s wedding anniversary!
We met at a park in The Woodlands on a beautiful early summer evening for Jamie and Kyle’s maternity photo session. They are both licensed sky divers and actually met at a sky diving event. Obviously mama-to-be isn’t jumping out of planes these days! Millie’s nursery is ready to go and they’re counting down the days until they finally meet their daughter.
A nature-themed maternity photo session
Jamie wore a maternity gown from my client closet for her session, and did ever it flatter her beautiful pregnancy curves! The soft pink complimented her fair skin perfectly, and Jamie’s hair and makeup looked amazing thanks to Samantha’s Artistry.
The two biggest decisions you’ll make for your maternity photo session are location and wardrobe. Jamie wanted a nature-themed session to celebrate her daughter, which is a pretty common request from expectant mamas. Fortunately we’re surrounded by incredibly gorgeous options in this area.
Jamie also wanted to weave in a romantic theme with her wardrobe; she sent me a wedding photo so I’d know the style she likes. I knew two of my lacy gowns could fit her vision for the session, so I brought along two of them for her to try. I love that she selected the option with gorgeous dramatic sleeves and a feminine lace pattern over the bump!
The parenting adventure is about to begin!
Jamie and Kyle have such a wonderful, easy chemistry. They were constantly making each other smile and laugh while we worked together, and that happiness absolutely shines in their photos! I could always count on Kyle to bring out the biggest smiles from Jamie, even on a very warm, humid Houston evening!
Their maternity session was an especially happy occasion because Jamie and Kyle moved to The Woodlands just weeks before the COVID-19 shutdown meant we were all stuck at home for weeks. They haven’t been able to get out and explore the area, or even try out fun restaurants, out of caution for Jamie’s health.
That means getting dressed up and spending an evening out of the house was a special treat for this sweet couple! I’m so glad we were able make these memories before Millie makes her big arrival in about six weeks.
