There is nothing like meeting your baby after nine looooong months of waiting! Fresh48 hospital sessions capture the wonder and magic of your baby’s first two days (or 48 hours) of life. I love visiting parents right after the birth of a child – the joy and pride in their faces is the sweetest thing! And, who are we kidding, it’s also the highlight of my week to hold a brand new baby!
How Fresh 48 sessions work
For Fresh 48 sessions, I come to your hospital room and capture those amazing first moments – baby cuddling with mom and dad, meeting his siblings and snuggling with her grandparents, aunts and uncles. We’ll get photos of 10 tiny fingers and toes, along with adorable baby yawns, sneezes and precious facial expressions. Some mothers choose to nurse during our photo session to celebrate the intimate connection between mom and baby. We also make sure to get plenty of shots of just dad and baby too!
Other than some gentle posing for a few photos, this is a lifestyle session of completely candid moments of you loving on your newborn. Some moms stay in the hospital bed for the entire session, while others might sit in a rocking chair or on the couch for a few photos. It’s entirely up to you!
With my first two kids, I asked a photographer friend to do my Fresh48 sessions – they are some of my most favorite photos of my children. With my third daughter, I did my own Fresh 48 session! As my sleep deprivation journey was just beginning with baby #3, I was trying to find the best lighting in our hospital room for photos of my two-day-old! Here’s a peek at her two-day-old cuteness:
Fresh48 photos capture exactly what your life looks like right after you meet your baby. Most of my moms are in their hospital gowns or comfy t-shirts. Some do their hair and wear makeup, but the vast majority of my moms have the natural new mama glow – and that’s it!
