I love meeting clients who are expecting their first babies. I’m deep in the mama trenches most days, simultaneously potty-training-nursing-answering-endless-questions-about-dinosaurs-while-fixing-never-ending-truckloads-of-chicken-nuggets. My daughters are 3, 2 and 7 months, so there is no “typical” day for us! I fly by the seat of my pants (covered in spit up or worse) as a rule.
So it’s a breath of fresh air to spend time with couples like Kristin and Lucas who are simply dreaming of the day they will meet their daughter, Stella. What unites us is this crazy insane deep love we feel before we even meet our babies and the sacrifices we make for our children.
Little Miss Stella has two parents who already adore her so much. Celebrating the beauty of motherhood with Kristin brought me back to a simpler time when I focused entirely on my first baby. Sweet memories! That saying about motherhood is true: the days are long, but the years are short. Treasure every moment.
